I'm not sure if this is only a Bloomberg thing but I was watching the US market open on Bloomberg TV last night. They mentioned how well energy stocks have gone in the last month then put up a chart showing New Energy outperforming Old Energy by 3-1. The New Energy basket contains Tesla and other EV startups like NIO and Nikola motors along with anything else involved in renewables like HydroCell.
The shape of the New Energy chart looked eerily similar to SYR's over the last month. If this catches on which I suspect it will if not already, IMO SYR is/will be categorised in the New Energy basket. Not officially on the indexes for now but in a changing world how fund managers view the market.
