Yes hoping so BGI.
Perhaps a capital raise as Hollyw00d mentioned (or part capital raise) but surely not given managements comments - surely a partnership and accompanying placement. Todays drop yes more than some peers but a shake out opportunity to take advantage of - can not be negative Balama as in an over run on costs that negates profits - as Verner stated Balama running best since inception.
I like that idea (sorry forgot who posted) - could be a great investment to increase production at Balama with most minimal expenditure with another processing plant - the resource is there and open at that. It just doesn't leave a lot of product/profitability from Balama when we scale to over 100kt anode production later in the decade - 40-50kt touted by 2024 already. Of course the Balama supply that is used for future increased anode production in US - Europe will make for very low cost final anode production costs for a decade or so.
What is evident is all this is in its infancy - sodium, niobium, silicon, aluminium etc etc - would be a shame if in a decade or so - graphite is no longer the go to for anode production - that's another massive advantage for Syrah - we are huge and established with Balama - others looking to enter have to secure funding for their natural fines graphite supply potential mines - financiers would be thinking of future chemistry change - supply change - Syrah can use its position to increase production with minimal further CAPEX - and totally cash in on Balama for a decade or so - hopefully 3-4 decades but I'm not so sure about Dahn's comment - graphite will be around a long time after he's gone - change is inevitable - as is occurring right now.
No doubt we will learn a lot next 2 weeks and no doubt discussions already advanced on financing "mass scale" anode production beyond the current 10kt plan - still feel a lot of that will come from US listing - they'll be all over it - anyway those conversations will arrive in due course (just what the market does - as soon as one big event the conversation shifts to the next big conception/phase) - one day at a time for now.
Have a great weekend all.
Grew up in the era - Neil Young was and remains a favorite. Anyone have time or interested. From a small town of 800 people he was always about music but there's more to the man - he could have been Elon Musk status with his desire/investment and commitment to invent an electric car - of sorts - look up LINCVOLT - a project that started with one of US largest cars - an Abraham Lincoln - powered by a 2.5l engine that he was pioneering running on biomass ethanol and an A123 battery pack with a 40km range - not bad for starters back in 2012. Funnily enough Henry Ford's original car concept was also electric back in the 1900s.
