    Syrah did not licence its AAM technology from anyone, it was designed in Australia:

    Syrah Resources collaborated with (Australian) engineering firm Worley (ASX: WOR) in designing and developing its Vidalia active anode material (AAM) facility in Louisiana.

    Worley contributed to the definitive feasibility study (DFS) and played a key role in engineering and expansion plans for the project. The plant, which processes graphite from Syrah’s Balama operation in Mozambique, began AAM production in 2024 and aims to be a critical supplier in the North American EV battery market.
