@Bogestakeover for $3.8-$4.00 is absurd.
In 2014 SYR rejected a AU$2 Billion takeover bid: Search "Glencore kicks off $2bn takeover race for Syrah Resources"
Adjusting for inflation til 2021 (RBA's Inflation calculator) that bid = AU$2.25 Billion or $3.8 per share using todays Market Cap.
If SYR accepted the takeover @$2Band the money invested intoASX:IVV @ $13.50/share in 2014, that would =$5.7B today@ $38.22/share.
Management know the asset, the market and opportunity cost - yet they declined the offer.
SYR is far more progressed than it was in 2014. There is no way management, Australian Super, or shareholders would accept a takeover.
Reserve:107Mt(16% TGC) Graphite Ore Reserve = 16.8Mt/350ktpa = ~50 years
Resource:1,421Mt(10% TGC) Graphite Mineral Resource = 142Mt/350ktpa = ~400 years
SYR can comfortable increase their graphite output 400% and the resource would outlast 100 years...
With Vidalia, SYR is a vertically integrated, first mover, that will benefit from the IRA requirement for >70% of battery minerals to be US or FTA sources, especially with their strong ties with the US Gov and DOE.
This is hardly a $4.00 or $2.5B MC company. Oh, and they haven't even included Vanadium (VRFB, steel reinforcement, etc) in their financial calculations...
SYR - tesla have committed to buying 23ktpa, a 300% increase in 6 months
1) currently we produce 1.8ktpa and were targeting 11.5ktpa
2) this tesla deal aids finance to 45ktpa, with other mous to become binding 45ktpa + funding is on the horizon
3) by2027 80%ofUS car battery mineralswillneed to be USor Free Trade Agreement origin for tax credits
4)chinahas no FTA & provides >80% the worlds battery grade graphite
5)USA will need 562ktpa in 2026for590GWH (planned )
(45ktps/8%)*100%
6) In 2026 100ktpa is only 16% of USAs 2026 need. The does not include the EUwho also need ESG graphite
7) SYR hold the world largest quantity of graphite
As the 1st and largest non-chinese source of natural battery grade graphite, I doubt we will only provide 16% of the USAs graphite needs and 0% of the EUs.'Syrah's vision is to be the world's leading supplier of superior quality graphite and anode material products'
The future growth is hard to fathom. But SYR sit in a very comfortable seat for the ride ahead.
I intend to hold SYR for till I die. I look forward to an established, 'Blue Chip', Syrah Resources that pays dividends.
Good luck to loyal holders!
