    Thanks @smob!
Thank you @Proga for your insightful post and for correcting me:
The Tesla deal increased to 25ktpa (not 23ktpa as I have posted above).

As even @Boges understands, SYR have a worldclass asset that is essential to the success of battery manufacturers and car companies.

    As Robert Friedland says:
    1) 'Demand for these metals will be like trying to get the contents of the hoover dam through a garden hose'
    2) 'This is going to be like musical chairs... If you don't secure your supply chain, you're not going to have a chair when the music stops'.

As the worlds largest, non-chinese, vertically integrated source of battery grade graphite, SYR are the hoover dam for graphite.

With exponential demand and impending shortages: SYR do not need car/battery manufacturers; car/battery manufacturers need SYR. Management, Australian Super, and well researched investors know this.

SYR is so significant that the US Department of Energy committed to loaning up to USD$322M to ensure that their countries have a seat in the battery supply chain when the music stops and the EU will probably follow suit. It's a matter of national security. I doubt SYR will be accepting any M&As, especially not for $4 per share.
