Jordan as well. If you try to engage people in any real debate on this issue they yawn and say "bored with the war". It is hard to believe people can be so apathetic when we are partly responsible for so much human suffering. Bad enough the war was started on very thin logic but on top of that it has been carried out with such a massive level of incompetance. It is obvious to blind freddy as well that terrorist numbers have increased as a result, yet we have a nation that sees Howard as big on national security.
It could be argued that we have engaged in ethnic cleansing also with forced internal displacement. The only explanation I can think of it is so dangerous in Iraq few journalists actually care to get in the the thick of it and opt instead to be guests of the US military where they are fed copious quantities of propoganda.
Plus we have military censorship so we canot even hear from our own soldiers on the ground. The US has free speech so you need to listen to their media for a more balanced viewpoint (and never thought I would say that).
Saddam was responsible for far less crimes in his later years than our side. Yet we refuse to acknowledge, very scary.
