    Bacci,

Then what would you expect when a government decides to "cleanse" a decent proportion of its population? Would you just expect the world to sit back and watch governments commit genocide if a government chooses to do so. Are you saying that it is just bad luck for those who live in these countries?

The strong should always help the weak. The strong try to accommodate a proportion of the weak by granting refugee status/immigration. But, it is only a very small percentage. Instead, why can't the strong help the weak in other ways. Maybe by helping the weak, the strong might save hundreds of thousands of lives. The strong may not be able to accommodate them in their home country, but they can still impact the lives of people.

You can't just expect the strong to open their arms to a select privileged group of people and not expect them to help others who are not so priviliged.

I'm sure you are pro immigration/refugee. Do we just open our doors and let people flood into our countries. OR do we try to fix the source of the problem.

I agree there are times when the US shouldn't have acted the way the do and people love to blame the US for all of he world's problems. But, should someone stick up for helpless innocent people OR should shore up our own countries and leave the weak to die?
