Sci when I get a chance I'll do that EMA crossover backtest and let you know how long it took me and the machine to complete it.  I'll use a custom trend strength indicator I developed as the ranking function.  I find the big challenge with Amibroker is its flexibility and hence complexity at times.  To do the basic stuff is easy and simple and they keep on adding new functions that people request which makes thing easier as well.  There's a one line backtesting function now called "ApplyStop" that will let you apply profit and protective stops of just about any king including volatility based stops like an ATR based Chandelier trailing stop.  You can do this in code as well if you want.

The Pro Trader indicator list is a bit restrictive for me.  But the real advantage of VV i think is the ability to easily do backtests on all the FA data they provide, and their Market Timing Indicators they provide.  I'll get back to you after I do the backtest.
