That being the case you are one of a few exceptions. If you are smart enough to hold the majority long term then well and good, but I doubt we will hear from you if your trading costs you somewhere, and that's my point. I like a bet and it's amazing how some other punters can't wait to let you know when they win but can't be seen anywhere when they are doing their dough.
Traders are in one sense like women- you don't need them but you do. How else would some people get some of their cheaper shares?
Anyway, the people who hold for longer than 12 months have any capital gains tax halved after that.
