What I get from this essentially is; they basically dont want to sell the business short by trying to forecast complex revenue and provide downloads numbers that will be then extrapolated into a false picture.

On one hand it is a good thing they are not willing to provide a potentially inaccurate picture of the business. However, on the other hand, wary investors will see the lack of numerical data and look elsewhere.
