Back over 100 years ago a company that was manufacturing stage coach's and continued to do so would have gone out of business. If however if that company realized they were a transport business and started manufacturing cars they would survive.
Today the teleco's see falling revenue and are reinventing them selves they are now becoming an entertainment/advertising/billing companies as well to survive. They can achieve this through Syntonic.
