Short term, low volume day trading: will affect the share price, to state otherwise is wrong. In the grand scheme of things, will it affect the overall fair value share price of the company once substantial fundamental changes to the company occur and spruik the interest of institutional investors? No.

But the discussion being had wasn't on long positions and the pending fundamental changes which will spruik institutional investments. It was on solely whether people holding trading parcels and selling on the small pip increases / day trading affects the share price - which it does. If a fundamental change occurs which spruik institutional investment, then the significant money comes in and will void this convnersation. Until then, retail investors trading the pips, especially on low volume, will diminish any potential advances in the SP

I don't however, disagree with you regarding your comments regarding overall company outlooks and fundamental progress.
