Yes, he and the others are just advisers. What else do you think these guys do? They are just board members!

To list on the ASX, you need to have a certain level of corporate governance which includes appointing board members that have "industry experience". Moreover, this makes the company more attractive to potential investors.

Syntonic have a 'rented' board. They all work for, or own, advisory firms that specialise in providing board roles. None of them actually work for Syntonic day to day. They are paid a few shares to 'sit' on the board and make it look pretty. Sure there may be some 'advice' here and they, but I can imagine it would be very limited considering their pay packets.

Do some quick research, and this is all verifiable.

Steve Elfman and Kevin Packingham are both founding partners of TAP Growth group. They specialise in board appointments and leadership advise. http://tapgg.com/leadership-team/

Nigel Hennesy's current job is Managing Partner at Hearnshaw and partners. They specialise in Chairman and Non-Executive Director roles with companies in Australia, USA and Hong Kong. https://www.linkedin.com/in/nigelhennessy/

Chris **riel sits on multiple boards and is the CEO of **riel Holdings. https://www.linkedin.com/in/cfobtc/
