Hey y'all, thanks for the info on valuations, unicorns and the rest which stretches beyond my field of expertise but FWIW here is my 2.9 cents worth!
We all have our trading strategies and flavours of the month so to speak but one thing I'm sure most of us would agree on is there is no exact recipe for success as has been proved many times. The proof will be in the pudding which will gradually bake during this month, year and hopefully continue into next decade.
I think we are good and are derisking at every stage. Yes as Martin advises the statements in emails proved false but if I simply acted on that premise (and Martin is certainly not saying this) I would feel a little at risk, but that's just me. I prefer the view that when the wind changes the sail must change. i.e cap raise and resulting deviation. Incidentally that change was advised to share holders and has come to fruition therefor on that premise no change (first a change then no change) which gives substance to SYT as a 'unicorn' for want of a better word/description. I can't say I agree entirely with the view that changes in company direction via correspondence over any period is a recipe for a bad cake, it may be better contextualised with many other aspects of the business. It does however place an element of risk if not substantiated and occurs regularly, not the case here with SYT.
The fermentation of the wine is at maximum, will it be Grange or Balsamic, my bet is big and long on Grange. Don't forget that wine is a few years in the making!
