Biggest weak link I can see at this stage Gpoe is retrospectively and the law. It is generally accepted ( in all legal juristrictions that I can think of any way, including Danish law) that retrospective law is unfair, unjust and to be avoided. If GML don’t have a written contract with the Greenland Government they certainly have a verbal contract. IE if they jump through all the hoops (SIA, EIA, consultation, white paper) they get their mining license. To change the law now and make it retrospective would have consequences that would put the new Govt in an even more impossible situation than they are in now.

GML in my opinion have done the right thing. Staying out of the local politics, keeping to their business (consultation), and gaining an understanding of their legal position.

There are more and bigger players on the sideline who are holding powerful hands and we have yet to see them play a card but I bet silence doesn’t mean inaction.
