Irrespective of wether they hit paydirt or not at target depth, it would be considered as "material info" and would have to be announced (as they claimed).
That implies that either way, the decision to go deeper would have to be announced as well.
Today (24th day) is not finished yet, I myself would have thought 24 days would be on the outside; but when you are drilling for oil, anything can happen. Murphy's Law says that if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong.
If there is no announcement by Monday/Tuesday next week,
I think we can expect the worst.
