Buy today, T+3 means finances occur Wed. Sell next Tues means finances occur 3 days later. Always have money available. If you buy and sell on same day, some online brokers will debit/credit on a T3 day of reconciliation, i.e. you get the difference of the buy/sell assuming you have sold at a profit. Simple rule is have money available for all trades.
