i use NAB online trading and always have the funds available in my cash account before making a purchase, never utilised (or fully understood to be honest) this whole t+3 thing.
I have in many cases traded with the proceeds from a sale to make another purchase and have never had a problem with this before (or been charged interest or whatnot)
