Etrade will not accept buy order, unless you have funds, down to the last cent. Funds do not have to be cleared cash, unsettled sale will do. But the so and so's charge you interest for up to three day until settlement is completed.

And also, completed option sales awaiting settlement, funds not available for stock trading for two days, but OK for more option trades I believe. Got unpleasant surprise when I wanted to go long on some hot penny stock, but it actually save me money, thing did not go as expected, so I was lucky and now I now.
There is just so much fine print to read, is there not?
