I suspect trading today was considered mischeivious i.e. someone was oeprating on inside information. If this were the case and the formal announcement not ready I think it is incumbent on the Directors to put in place a trading halt.
They have a responsibility to ensure an equally informed trading market
If they are diligent the announcement will be in the morning and no-one will notice the blip.
