Glad you picked up on the cautious entry part of my post. I'm always happy to pay up if the TA is more positive.

Again for the LT's, good luck, this post is about helping @perdant with developing his TA skills. I am still doing this blind from an FA perspective.

Below is a colour coded day by day analysis of the price action. I've shortened the white trendlines from my previous post to allow for comments, but they are still the same trajectory. Obviously green is a bullish opportunity, orange is 50:50, red is bearish. Yellow is random thoughts.

I would have wanted the SP to reclaim the lower trendline on day one of point 4 to be somewhat confident that the spike low was only temporary.



A staggered entry would still be my preferred play now that the bearish trend is playing out and the SP is approaching point 8. Again it's down to matching your FA with TA and the risk/reward that you're happy with.

Something like:

25% @ 50 EMA e.g 33.5
25% @ 30 psych level and previous spt. When confident on entries I would rather buy higher for a more certain entry than worry about getting in at the low i.e. buy at 30.5 vs buy at 29.5.
50% @ the lower half of the buy window i.e 27.

This would result in an avg buy in price of 29.5, just inside the buy window, and I'd be confident of a 20%-30% minimum gain in the ST/MT. After which, it's back to the TA vs FA battle as to how you play it .

Note how quick the TA can change vs FA.
