"Angolan Agriculture, a Giant Awakening"
"Angola's soybean production is set to reach a total of 53 thousand metric tons by 2026. This is up from 42 thousand metric tons in 2021"
https://www.reportlinker.com/clp/country/3685/726315
42,000 tonnes in 2021 and this new plant will have a capacity for 4,000tpd. That's 1.4mill tonnes a year! Even half of that is 700,000 tonne per year - compare that to 2021 production of just 42,000t. Is someone is expecting some serious growth in Angolan agricultural production?
No wonder Lindsay tweeted "Angolan Agriculture, a Giant Awakening".
If Deutsche is funding a seed crushing plant in Angola at 57 million Euro that will take two years to complete, then why not a US 55million fertiliser plant in Angola which is already 50% funded and only needs another US 25-30million and much less than one year to complete?
4,000 tonnes of soybeans a day is going to need a lot of fertiliser. Will our plant be ramped up much more quickly that the DFS forecast? DFS's are usually conservative, so I think so.
