not as easy as it sounds, can take years to master the emotions that drive the wrong decisions (holding or folding) and I'm still working at it.

It helps to formulate a plan according to your investment style. eg chart targets for tech analysis, valuation model for fundamental analysis, whatever works for you but have a plan with testable arguments. If you don't know what you think something is worth you won't be able to make the best of it.

Most important, watch, learn, analyse, study - above all yourself - what you do well, what you did wrong, understand your personality and it's strengths and weaknesses and develop your investing style around those.
