I don't think the intention is to make money on such a short term time frame. These funds will be looking to take a larger stake and will employ games, shakeouts and structured sell offs to ensure they can get as much stock at as low cost that the capital structure will allow for.
I doubt they are looking at it as how much money they made for today, rather how much stock they were able to absorb.
