The pilot plant will be the Feasibility Study. If the Chinese don't sign or the plant proves uneconomic then such is life. This is the spec end of the market, high risk, high return. If this type of investment is not for you then simply stay out but don't hold your breath waiting for BHP to go 3 or 4 times.

The speculative investor weighs up the risk/reward balance and makes his play (some might say bet) accordingly. I doubt many of them canvas your opinion.
