now that, Hokey I don't agree. I am a Chinese and I have been in Australia for 9 years, all my family members get upset stomach after we drink regular milk, including PURA which says it includes A2 protein.
It's a common stereotype that Chinese think of clean air and milk when they hear Australia, yet we can't enjoy the milk it has to offer and it's really a pity. It's like live in a coast area and you find yourself allergic to sea food.
So for the 7 out of 9 years, we didn't drink milk at all. Then we get bold so from time to time we tried every single brand in the market until we used A2. (Basically we are doing experiment on ourselves...) The symptoms stop when we use A2. So it's not like we have an option, if we want to drink milk, we have to use A2 milk.
And speaking of its price, yes indeed, it's relatively expensive. But it's kind of a norm to purchase expensive products in China, for instance, luxury industry loves Chinese, fancy car dealers depend on Chinese, and Australians blame Chinese for increase in the real estate price market... I won't take it as a compliment but you can see that the price tag isn's intimidating enough, as you can see the Daigous are selling at a high premium to China yet the demand is still very strong.
One another thing, the milk products are't cheap in China, I go back to China for holiday once a year and every time I go back I can easily realize the increase in price. I'd say to some extent, it's cheaper to live in Australia than in China now.
