Growth in infant formula volumes might require an expansion of Synlait Milk’s canning and blending facilities sooner than expected, one of the country’s leading investment research houses says.
Driven by big volumes required by retail distributor A2 Milk, the Canterbury milk processor could need to make allowance for a start on doubling canning capacity next financial year, rather than in 2018 as expected earlier, First NZ Capital research director Ari Dekker said.
