Excellent example with PEK - if you take a look at its daily chart you would see that at 62 it was out of bollies, and having opened lower the next day gave a massive sell signal. The problem with your approach is at 45c one might think it's to dear already and exists leaving lots of profits on the table. TA allows to stop guessing and just follow the market that's it.

For example SIR - lots of people sid that $1.5 is too much and here is where FA useless as TA indicated it will go higher and indeed it went to $3.4. If someone exited at $1.5 just because they thought it's overpriced they missed huge profits because they were simply wrong. As they say the market has no bottom and no top. If one invests/trades with this in mind they will do alright.
