I agree and disagree, there are plenty of stocks with unfilled breakaway gaps. Given the iliquidity, I could see that gap not being filled, if there was more specularors and day trading going on, I would say there would be a higher chance of it being filled. It is true that most gaps will be filled, but it's not a given.
