The angle is the private equity investors will take it over, not BET. And as had previously been discussed by a few posters, the word "merger" is probably just a media summation. The more likely scenario is that BET will run the back office, just as if TAB was another customer. They have too much other stuff going on to get stuck merging with a bookmaker, as this is a conflict of interest with all their other customers
