Guzman Y Gomez Mexican eateries have been popping up in a lot of places (Brisbane) with high foot traffic (eg busy CBD street and malls), but I haven’t seen any stand alone stores with a car park or drive thru. They seem hugely successful (but not a fan myself).
So really not directly comparable.
There is another chain starting off (Zumbrero or something like that) but don’t know anything about them.
Go back 10 years, and there were only a relative handful of Mexican establishments. Certainly a lot more now.
