  11. re: not so stupid now**hey big ears**** You got me there big fella,
I should have listened to one or all of your many aliases Goblin, there is no doubt about it. I'd be buying flat out at 23c today if I had. Ah well, thems the breaks. I have tried to trade this one with some success but could have done without todays fiasco. Still, I've been in and out since 8c so perhaps not such a blow. Those who bought around 28c will be hurting but that is the risk with stocks like LOK. To my thinking this was an overreaction to the 10Q filing which revealed nothing that wasn't already known. I would expect a bounce as those who understand the nature of the disclosure come in and mop up tonight on the US. Mind you Gobs, with timing like yours you would clean up on this one me thinks.
    regards

  17. Very direct, and good post. It's only others that will feel the shame for the directors TSS.

A leopard does not change its spots, nor a tiger its stripes.

Their record indicates that they can't feel shame. With these "piggy backs" now approved, they will obtain even more power. Small investors, unless there one of their mates, will be the losers.

  18. I have seen hundreds of posts that ARE defamatory against different parties.

My conscience is clear; I don't feel any remorse about what I posted. Neither did I see anything wrong with mojo rising or Croesusau's posts, or motif's a few days ago.

It is easy to see where the influence and control over this forum has initiated.

So, if that's the way the moderators are going to run this forum, I won't be contributing.

  19. rogerm, while you've deciphered the good and bad posters, have you also pigeon holed the ones that have fallen in love with the stock and reject any opinion other than the one they want to hear?
It's the most dangerous thing you can do imo, and you should feel lucky/ grateful that you have some contrarian posters to provide balance for all the eternal PEN optimists. But what would I know?
PEN is very tradable, but not out of the woods by a long way imo.
    • *Removed* this post has been removed from public view
  20. So you can see both sides of the story matty.
I'm in the same boat having traded PEN from time to time.
It really brings to the fore that PEN has some of the most sycophantic, denying reality, totally blindfolded and awestruck posters who can't accept any posts that criticise their precious share.
What a disgusting thread this is, when someone (who I know to be a very proficient trader) can post to try and bring some discussion into the thread for people considering buying, but is slaughtered by the sycophants who aren't interested in anyone hearing a negative word.
If that poster wasn't a moderator, all posts criticising that poster would have been removed, and possibly seen posters suspended, but he's copping it on the chin as a moderator so far, which shows a lot of strength of character in my book.
    Shame on many of you.
    • *Removed* this post has been removed from public view
  21. Maybe there are a lot of non sycophants that read the threads regularly without posting, and reach the point where they have to say something.

  22. Agree seuss.
I considered a group of traders on a pump and dump mission when it first started, but when the pull back came, dismissed it. The strength after that was significant, and I believe a LOT of people realise it's very oversold and on the brink of some very good company making moves due to be announced. Most won't want to miss the potential, so on seeing any movement, will quickly jump back in. That's no pump and dump.
    • *Removed* this post has been removed from public view
  23. I know. Maybe I didn't explain myself very well.
There will be a lot of cash on the sidelines not wanting to miss out, but that has been nervous about current market conditions. Movement in stock price is enough to bring that money back in. Nothing to do with management, just investor psychology imo.

    Description
    A. INTRODUCTION: Tactical Network Testbed (TNT) Collaboration This Request for Information (RFI) is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit technology experimentation candidates from Research and Development (R&D) organizations, private industry, and academia for inclusion in future experimentation events coordinated by the U. S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). USSOCOM invites industry, academia, individuals and Government labs to submit technology experimentation papers addressing innovative technologies leading to possible Government/Industry collaboration for development of USSOCOM technology capabilities. The intent is to accelerate the delivery of innovative capabilities to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) warfighter. SOF experimentation focus areas for FY12 will explore emerging technologies, technical applications, and their potential to provide solutions with an understanding in concepts, operations and future SOF capabilities. SOF experimentation focus areas have been assigned for each of the four quarterly TNT events scheduled in FY12 as follows:  November 2011: Small Team Force Protection; Communications; Power and Water Generation.  February 2012: Mission Planning, Modeling, Simulation, and Training; Combat Weather; Military Information Support Operation (MISO) and Civil Affairs (CA)  May 2012: Warrior Systems; Small Team Weapons  August 2012: Mobility and Vehicle Protection Additional RFIs will be released to FedBizOpps approximately 60 days prior to each scheduled TNT event to provide additional details. After review of the technology experimentation paper submissions, the Government may invite select candidates to demonstrate their technologies at the USSOCOM & NPS sponsored TNT experimentation event. The TNT venue will provide an opportunity for the submitter to interact with USSOCOM personnel for the purpose of USSOCOM assessing potential impact of emerging technology solutions on USSOCOM missions and capabilities. The intent is to accelerate the delivery of innovative capabilities to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) warfighter. Industry participation in experimentation activities does not suggest or imply that USSOCOM or NPS will procure or purchase equipment. B. OBJECTIVE: (1) Background: USSOCOM conducts quarterly TNT experimentation events in cooperation with NPS at Camp Roberts, CA (three per year) and at Avon Park, FL (one per year). These cooperative TNT experiments are conducted with representatives from Government R&D organizations, academia, and private industry. Tactical Network Testbed experimentation events provide an opportunity for technology developers to interact with operational personnel to determine how their technology development efforts and ideas may support or enhance SOF capability needs. The environment facilitates a collaborative working relationship between Government, academia, and industry to promote the identification and assessment of emerging and mature technologies for the primary goal of accelerating the delivery of technology discoveries to the SOF warfighter. Mission-Based Experimentation (MBE) provides remedied solutions to identified high priority, high value SOF mission deficiencies allowing evolution and adaptation in the field to quickly help identify solutions designed to mission objectives. Capability-Based Experimentation (CBE) provides an opportunity for technology developers to interact with operational personnel and determine how their efforts might support special operations capabilities in a discovery learning environment. CBE identifies potential technology solutions, impacts, limitations, and utility to meet SOF technical objectives and thrust areas. (2) Experimentation Focus: Experiments will be conducted from November 02 - 11, 2011, at Camp Roberts, CA. The venue will explore emerging technology solutions for SOF small team Force Protection (FP) in austere environment expeditionary-like conditions. Technology will need to be capable of supporting a SOF team up to 18 members to provide an increased security, enhanced situational awareness, and increased mission effectiveness. a. MBE 12-1: November 02- 06, 2011 at Camp Roberts, CA. Focus: MBE 12-1 will focus on Force Protection systems capable of stand‐off detection and assessment sensors with flexibility to adjust to a variety of terrains, threats, and missions. Technology should be at Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL-6) or greater for the purpose of MBE. A SOF three to six member team will be at an unimproved remote village site and must be able to operate independent of other sustainment bases and facilities. The SOF team would find a defensible location in a remote village and would have no more than two non-standard vehicles (NSV) such as a commercial sport utility vehicle (SUV). Force Protection capabilities may include: 360 degree visualization day and night sensors; optical and non-optical technology that enhances range finding; sensors that reduce the operational burden of SOF operators; shot detectors; improved surveillance/situational awareness; and/or remote access. Systems with attributes resulting in simplifications to existing tasks, procedures, and/or equipment operation and improvement in training, emplacement, and/or operation are desired. Also, FP systems are desired to run on internal battery power and may have the capability of using or integrating into both renewable and non-renewable power sources. Additional FP measures considered would be systems that see, record, or transmit activity from a remote outstation (i.e. road, intersection) along with analytical software for incident alert or pattern prediction. Force Protection systems are desired to run continuously for at least 72 hours without software or hardware malfunction or interruptions. The Government's intent is to take selected respondent technology into unimproved expeditionary-like conditions for up to three (3) days and return the submitted technology to respondent upon completion of exercise. All respondents will be required to complete a vendor loan agreement to participate in the MBE. b. Capability-Based Experimentation 12-1 at Camp Roberts, CA: November 07-11, 2011. Focus: CBE 12-1 will focus on SOF small team FP capabilities. Experiments will be conducted to explore the application of emerging technology solutions for small team FP, communications, and power and water generation. Technology should be at Technology Readiness Level 3 (TRL-3) or greater for the purpose of CBE. (3) Security Requirements: Vendors should not submit classified information in the technology experimentation papers. (4) Other Special Requirements: DO NOT SUBMIT PROPOSALS. SUBMIT TECHNOLOGY EXPERIMENTATION PAPERS ONLY. EXPERIMENTATION PAPER SUBMITTALS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED WITHIN A 30 DAY SUBMISSION PERIOD DEFINED AS 60-30 DAYS PRIOR TO EACH SPECIFIED TNT EVENT. For the November TNT at Camp Roberts, CA. all submissions must be received no later than October 3, 2011. No contracts will be awarded based solely on this announcement or any subsequent supplemental RFI announcements planned for the February, June, and August 2012 TNT events. C. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Technology Experimentation papers shall be submitted electronically via USSOCOM webpage: http://www.socom.mil/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=/FormServerTemplates/whitepapersubmission.xsn&OpenIn=Browser. Multiple concept papers addressing different technology experiments may be submitted by each respondent. Submissions will be reviewed by USSOCOM personnel, support contractors, or NPS Faculty, Staff, or students. Each technology experiment paper must address only one experiment. Select respondents will be invited to participate in USSOCOM experiments. USSOCOM shall provide venues, supporting infrastructure, and assessment (operational and technical) personnel at no cost to invited respondent(s). Respondent's travel costs and technology experiments will be at the respondent's expense. The TNT venue will only supply basic venue infrastructure including frequency allocation and portable power. Invited respondents should prepare to be self-efficient during experimentation and not dependent on venue resources for success. D. BASIS FOR SELECTION TO PARTICIPATE: Selection of respondents to participate will be based on the extent to which the technology represents a particular class or level of capability that can be provided to Special Operations Forces. Other considerations include:  Technical maturity  Relevance of or adaptability to military operations/missions  Relevance to current operational needs  Relevant to Event Focus Area E. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: All efforts shall be made to protect proprietary information that is clearly marked in writing. Lessons learned by USSOCOM from these experiments may be broadly disseminated but only within the Government. If selected for participation in TNT experimentation, vendors may be requested to provide additional information in a questionnaire that will be used in preparation for the experiments. F. USE OF INFORMATION: The purpose of this notice is to gain information leading to Government/Industry collaboration for development of USSOCOM technology capabilities and to assist in accelerating the delivery of these capabilities to the warfighter. All proprietary information contained in the response shall be separately marked. Any proprietary information contained in response to this request will be properly protected from any unauthorized disclosure. The Government will not use proprietary information submitted from any one firm to establish future capability and requirements. G. SPECIAL NOTICE: Respondent's attention is directed to the fact that Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) or contractor consultant/advisors to the Government will review and provide support during evaluation of submittals. When appropriate, non-Government advisors may be used to objectively review a particular functional area and provide comments and recommendations to the Government. All advisors shall comply with procurement Integrity Laws and shall sign non-disclosure and rules of conduct/conflict of interest statements. The Government shall take into consideration requirements for avoiding conflicts of interest and ensure advisors comply with safeguarding proprietary data. Submission in response to this RFI constitutes approval to release the submittal to Government support contractors. H. REGULATION: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997): (1) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI notice or to otherwise pay for the information. (2) Although "proposal" and "respondent" are used in this RFI, your responses will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (3) In accordance with FAR Clause 52.209(c), the purpose of this RFI is to solicit technology experimentation candidates from R&D organizations, private industry, and academia for inclusion in future experimentation events coordinated by USSOCOM and NPS. 26. Do you have a 2.7 million deposit for a new home?
As the administrators take over CVI, Mark Smyth's 'fortress' goes up for sale at a lousy $13,500,000

Now, with a 2.7million deposit, and interest rate of 7.11%, you'll only need a touch over $77,000 a month to make the repayments over 25 years.

    Feeling sick enough yet?
Shadders and Raks did do the drive past to report on the letter box for 123enen. I remember it well from just after the EGM days.

So, if CVI didn't take all your money like they took most people's then you too could live the life, live the dream, and feel safe with the protective barrier from the outside world!

Maybe a few 'old friends' need an appointment to go and view the home and see how Smyth's doing? Is the dementia well advanced yet? Any house guests? Malcolm Johnson, Anton Tarkanyi, excelsior perhaps?

To make your appointment for Perthites, and just for a sick session for others:

  29. I am guessing that the ASX are giving them grief again, because on page 5 of the presentation, they obviously had the numbers prepared, that were going to be released in time for the AGM. (Obviously again is my guess)

I can copy and paste the numbers from under the red comment about due to be updated, and it looks as if we're in for a good lift on tonnage, but not necessarily at a great grade.
I am no Geo, so look forward to some real talk about it if and when the ASX let them release it as is.

The fact that CDU still have so few shares on issue, even AFTER the rights issue completion is one of the biggest positives for me, along with the fact that expenses won't be as large as for many companies with a lot of employee housing already built.

Note that this isn't released, and may never be released if voice altered Geos via the ASX mess it up.
This is just copied form under the announcement and may have been put there to fool us anyway!

  30. I find that post rather repugnant and cynical cusox.
Right now, imo it's a buy.

What does that have to do with anything else?
Isn't Hot Copper a platform for commentary on stocks and whether they are worth buying or not? If we didn't comment, there would be no Hot Copper

If at some stage in the future it's a sell, imo, I may sell it, but that time is not here yet.
Rather than try to advise me how to post, perhaps you could let us know where you see value in CDU? Do you wait for it to be proven and moving up again?

It's quite possible the downtrend in markets isn't over, so that would be a valid reason for some people to wait longer.
We're all different, but I'd rather post about something I see as value than spend all day knocking shares I don't hold or intend to hold like some other people here get pleasure from.

  31. Shadow, that is bull dust, and you know it.
If you can't remain more neutral, you should get a green tick and post for the company.
You simply can't give a value on it without ALL the information.
Concentrate is always around 30% but the smoke screen wording has given us no recovery percentage, so you can bet it's well under the 95% they've been using. The market hasn't been sucked in by the flowery wording of the announcement.

  32. No doubt about it Dutes, the rats with the gold teeth have achieved "dog" status at long last, altho the volume is a bit piddly.

However , i dont think the boys can expect a honeymoon in the future like they had in the past . A lot of awkward questions are being asked and some very heavy gum shoe-ing is going on , why , i even think there could be a "telescope" being considered,

Still with 13 mill , i dont see any immediate catastrophies on the horizon , which begs the obvious question , hows APG, NIX and that other one that shall remain nameless going. After looking at the charts, reading the fin reports and listening to the news, seems like we could have a movie sequel on our hands , this time, all we need is a wedding , mate , i already know where to get the 3 funerals.

    Cheers

  36. I get your drift joewolf.
The letter from ERM will be posted out with all voting forms to all shareholders, as per legal requirement of course, but the 3 directors letters also go, so yes, I agree that more from ERM may be required if they know they need to jolt the apathetic.

Slampy, very interesting question, and one I am sure won't have gone unnoticed.

Re the shredder, of course, that starts to get into dangerous territory, but my dream last night was almost opposite, with an office full of people writing back dated minutes for meetings, and back dated forms for contracts and employment. 38. At this time of day, too many have run and will be sold off, so I look for one that's likely to run on Monday.

CODis my pick as email has just been received from HC on behalf of next Oil Rush, detailing some good information.

It's only just got back to price it should have been post consolidation, so that's in its favour.
Very little to sell, I like that, as it will move quickly.

Many won't have received the email yet as they're at work, etc.
