There are a few scenarios that can play out.
Either way, the value of the business increases and therefore shareholders benefit.
The least complicated outcome is for a complete buyout of the company, with two or more suitors fighting it out.
A sell off of one part of the business will likely result in a one off capital return to shareholders.
I'm predicting an offer closer to $5.00, given that the share price was well below $4.00 before the rumours started.
Either way, we're all in for a great end to the FY if it comes off before a general correction in the market.
