I've been following Behrenbruch since a negative blog he wrote about Cynata (CYP) was picked up by HotCopper posters. If I'd listened to him then I would have saved an awful lot of money, as I've lost most of my investment there. As far as I can make out he's quite idealistic about the need for informed commentary on Aust. biotechs - he's of the opinion that the biotech sector in Australia is incestuous, occasionally loose with governance and a few companies can sometimes use us retail investors as cash cows who will believe anything management tells us. His ability to comment authoritatively on both the financial side of things and the science is generally pretty impressive, though I haven't been following the OSL stuff as I'm a Sirtex kind of guy.
I understand the legal threats he gets, as defamation laws are insane in Australia and prevent most informed discussion and freedom of speech. But I don't understand the vitriol from people who have invested their money, sometimes less than wisely, in bright and shiny new ventures that may not always be quite as they seem.
Seems some "investors" buy stock then put their fingers in their ears and scream if anyone says anything critical about the company. A good way to "loose" [sic] money, Alexfx.
