this is all about safety of employees not tailings obviously. to me and from experience in PNG this is typical - create bad publicity as much as possible to ensure more bad press coverage from the Ramu site with key decision coming up. the good thing from the announcement is HIG are committed to develpoment and production no matter what findings are outlined - this can only benefit MGO. DFS delays will continue however DS tailings or not due to the timing of getting sign off of such major dollar projects by government owned companies - there is a lot of red tape to go through.
