I think based on the photos I have seen they are using a modified centreline method. There are two tailings dams in the feasibility but there is no mention of the operability of the other dam in any of the Co reports. This seems strange and I can’t work out why they are not using the other dam as an alternative during this time. The key to this will have been the decanting or pumping (or both) of the dam during the past month or two. Failure to monitor this can substantially add to the pressure on the dam wall and this will have been part of the design and construct criteria for its operation. If current management have not been adhering to this there could have been a failure as these things tend to happen immediately after such breaches in protocol.
