    These statements about "but our economy" then you might as well sell the mines let Chinese state owned companies just set up and run the whole thing and hope they throw a few coins to you as a subsistance package for being a good boy or girl.

    This is why you are no Andrew Forest.

    He does not go begging to the Chinese and is willing to rebuff them and tell them to take a hike when they are unreasonable.

    When he was looking for capital in 2004/2006 the
    state owned chinese companies thought he was desperate and so wanted 80 or 90% of the company in exchange for the capital investment.

    That would have effectively made Andrew Forrest a minor shareholder with zero control and just hope for the best. Instead he told them quite aggresively they can stuff it elsewhere. And he seeked other options.

    If such an issue occurs with Australia and Iron ore
    cant be sold the country will adjust. Just it sounds like people without brains think the only way is the same way forever more.
