When was the last time the Chinese military did something that incurred heavy losses on their side? They play the long economic game, not the hail of bullets game imo.
The Taiwanese have enough might to pulverise the Chinese coast cities before they lose or surrender. Chinese civilian casualties wouldn't go down well with the masses and create more problems for Xi than Taiwan is currently worth.
So, no point answering the questions at this stage. May as well add one in asking how much Musk will charge for a ticket to Mars if it happens.
