i wouldn't complain if they were all taken off the road, for various reasons. one reason is that many of the tracks that i used to drive on in my car have being destroyed by SUV's digging out deep tyre tracks, so now the destination is only accessable to those that have gas guzzling high cost SUV's (one SUV tyre is the cost of my car), or risk losing my exhaust system. the consequence of the industrial and technological revolutions has been to allow for a greater expression of human stupidity, and inconsideratness - quite often the SUV is associated with one of various forms of "one upness", albeit sometimes subtle. anyway, if you check out the mayan prophesies,apparantly there wont be any SUV's after december 2012. bring back the horse and cart - would we be any worse off?
