the rail head referred to at Perenjori is the MGX proposed siding for Extension Hill magnetite, just south of the town. The line currently carries ore from Ruvidini siding west of Mullewa to Geraldton Port which is expanding its ore storage facility but there are a number of exporters. Eventually the railway is planned to link to the new port of Oakajee north of Geraldton.
It is not a heavy haul line, just a narrow gauge wheat line with 16 tonne axles (BHP trains are 38t) but additional traffic should justify an upgrade eventually.
