    Hi mms. Why don't you use hive stands? It's tough on the back to manage hives so low to the ground. They look like they're pretty happy though. We've had mega rains which have washed the nectar out of nearly everything. Have had to feed my little nuc which responded with a magnificent 8 queen cells on one frame. We put in a frame of young eggs from a hive we split and hoped for the best. We got excited and planned to graft 6 of them and donate to our landcare apiary but we managed to stuff the process up completely. Am thinking a queen grafting workshop might be on the cards for next year. Wish my hives were as pristine as yours.
