Medicare is good even if it means a slightly lower level of available treatments, we have no proton machine here for example i don't think, my old man had to go to L.A. for it years ago and stay there 6mths, i think there is one in England now.
US medical system does need much re-organization, if you remember when Trump was first sworn in he said he liked the Australian medicare system, couldn't do anything about it with a dodgy congress though, maybe things will change in the future, who knows....
