Oh, I do feel for you Lady Penny and others up north. I felt selfish for writing as I did. Indeed we've been very well treated. Was recently chatting to a neighbour who was saying she was looking forward to the winter, whilst acknowledging her appreciation of our very mild weather for such a protracted time. I have my aircon operating but it's not very effective. Sorry...need to be more thoughtful for others....think as one ages, the heat becomes less welcome....I love my newly acquired 100% cotton shirt..

It's all relative, you don't get many days over 30 degrees in Melbourne so it's unpleasant when you do. We get lots of days over 30 so we are use to it, high 30's and into the 40's is when it gets really unpleasant for us.
