A general warning. I received a call from Telstra stating that my modem was to be replaced next Monday morning at no charge. He gave me his employee number, phone number etc and a reference number. Then he wanted me to download an app to get my new modem number to give to the technician. I refused. i noticed that it would give remote access to my computer. Contacted Telstra direct who connected me to their fraud squad, yes- a scam call. he was good, but not good enough.
