Of course he will appeal, not because he thinks the conviction will be over turned but just to delay, especially if he gets a jail sentence. Note he can't appeal until after he gets sentenced.

Yeah he has been trying incite violence, but apart from some nut jobs his supports are a bit shy on the prospect of being put in jail like so many of his supporters.

As for fighting with fish, if he wants to talk politics here I will hit back. Jase is encouraging me ;-)
