sadly it is my hands that mark out my love of gardening and slightly “adventurous” life. My son has the most beautiful hands. Soft and long his hands are without a doubt those of a man with an artists soul. My hands are worn and those of a gardener. I don’t bother with nail polish. It gets chipped too quickly. I have nails of uneven sizes as nature takes care of their length. Here at least they don’t show signs of the soil.
fortunately most scars dull over time though my hip operations left a long jagged line on each leg. I have occasionally thought of a tattoo like a rose vine to make them prettier but not sure that’s a good idea either. Maybe I should try first with some removable tattoos and see how I like them. I’m not really a tattoo person but then I’m not really a scar person either.
