You should never get mutton dressed up as lamb.
Sheep are mouthed at slaughter.
Lambs have no permanent teeth and the carcass is marked as such.
Hogget is a lamb that has put up 2 permanent teeth. Absolutely beautiful if you ask me. Great taste.
Mutton is a mature sheep with permanent teeth.
Some of the best meat you will ever eat is mutton fed on salt bush country.
Might be going out on a limb but I think Coles lamb is better than Woolies.
