I reckon my refrigerator may just as well be turned off and thus saved power. Much like those windmills, cooling us down beyond anything we have experienced before.
My canadian relatives bury their food in the snow, saving having to go out to shop during the depth of Sydney. Tasmania has snow now and Melbourne has much the same temperature and weather as Melb. We're unlikely to swim three times a year, let alone 3 months per year. .
