Hardley what I call friends, out of 8 eggs my hens sat on 6 turned out to be roosters. They are fine until they start crowing in the early morning, no longer a problem And they will be great eating.

Kept one rooster so come late October when the hens go broody I'll have fertile eggs for them to hatch, then more tasty chickens.

Getting there, with fruit and veg gardens coming along, together with eggs from the hens, meat from roosters and marron in the ponds the garden is becoming productive.
