A friend who lives in Victoria on Vancouver Island, about a 3hr ferry ride from Vancouver is covered in smoke haze, and Vancouver is miles from Jasper. I can't believe it. This is the major hiking and camping season, in fact many headed off late May, just pray they are all safe.
